Stamford State Rep. Corey Paris Named Majority Caucus Chair
Paris, who represents the 145th House District, has been a member of the Connecticut General Assembly since 2021.
STAMFORD, CT — State Rep. Corey Paris (D-145) has been appointed as majority caucus chair in Hartford for the 2023 legislative session.
The position works to ensure that the needs and priorities of the legislators in the party are heard and addressed.
Dominique Johnson (D-143), who represents Norwalk and Westport, has ben appointed deputy majority caucus chair.

"I’m pleased to be working alongside Rep. Johnson in this role and I thank Speaker Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas for entrusting us with this responsibility. We will make sure the voices of our caucus are heard and will work to support our colleagues," Paris said in a news release.
Johnson said in a news release she's eager to work alongside Paris to address priorities of their caucus.

"It is an honor to serve in a leadership position during my first year as a legislator. Thank you to Speaker Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas for their trust in us," Johnson said.
In addition to serving as Majority Caucus Chair, Paris is the vice chair of the Appropriations Committee. Johnson will also serve as an assistant majority leader. Both representatives are members of the Education and Higher Education and Employment Advancement committees. Johnson also serves on the Judiciary committee.
Paris has been a member of the Connecticut General Assembly since 2021. Rep. Johnson represents the 143rd Assembly District located in Norwalk and Westport. They are currently serving their first full term.
