She is a Cloonan Middle School Seventh Grade Social Studies teacher.

From SPS: Stamford Public Schools (SPS) announced that Cloonan Middle School Seventh Grade Social Studies Teacher and 2018-2019 Stamford Teacher of the Year Camille Spaulding has been selected as a Connecticut Teacher of the Year Semifinalist. As one of a select group of teachers chosen from among teachers across the state, Spaulding is progressing to the interview stage of the program.
According to the Connecticut State Department of Education, the Connecticut Teacher of the Year selection process has three stages. In the first stage, all local nominee application packages are read and reviewed by members of the Selection Committee. The committee rates the applications and selects the top-rated applicants as semi-finalists. The semifinalists move into the second stage, where they are interviewed and asked to make a presentation on a pre-assigned topic. The three- to five-minute presentations and 30-minute interviews are taking place this week in Hartford, Conn.
“It is an honor to be included as a semi-finalist for the Connecticut Teacher of the Year process and to represent all of the SPS teachers who work each day to provide a quality education for our students,” said Spaulding. “I am proud to be a member of the Stamford Public Schools and to represent our district at the state level.”
