Stamford Teacher Appears In Jeopardy! Semifinal Teacher Round

Stamford teacher Ben Schwartz competed against two fellow teachers in the Teachers Tournament semifinal round.

STAMFORD, CT — Unfortunately Stamford teacher and Fairfield native Ben Schwartz lost in the semifinal round of the Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament.

Schwartz went into the second round of the game with the lead after hitting the correct answer on a true daily double.

He was trailing both opponents going into final Jeopardy and bet $7,995 of his $8,000, but came up with the wrong answer. New Paltz, NY physics teacher Francois Barcomb won the semifinal round.

Schwartz is a Fairfield Warde High School graduate and teaches English at King School in Stamford and also works at a non-profit REACH Prep. He started watching Jeopardy when he was 8-years-old with his grandmother and has been an avid fan ever since.
