Stamford Town Center Shoppers To Pay More for Parking
Fees are scheduled to rise next week.

Stamford Town Center is moving to a pay station parking system beginning Aug. 31 and rates to park while you shop will cost you more.
In an announcement posted on its website, the Town Center said, “This modernization in parking will allow for multiple methods of payment and extension of time, helping to create a more seamless shopping experience. “

The current 75-cent parking fee for three hours will increase to $1 for up to two hours; $3 for two to three hours; $4 for three to four hours, with an additional $1 per hour charged for a maximum of $9 per day, according to the website. Credit cards and cash will be accepted for payment, however, the pay stations will not make change for any payment.
The Advocate reports that in January, monthly parking passes paid by employees will nearly double from $26.50 to $50 a month.
