Stamford Youth to Weigh In on City’s Future During “My City” Day - April 9, 2025

STAMFORD, CT - On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Stamford Public Schools will participate in “My City” Day, a unique, district-wide civic engagement event giving students the opportunity to learn about urban planning, share their ideas, and become part of the vision for Stamford’s future.
Organized by My Architecture Workshops Inc., in collaboration with Stamford Public Schools and the City of Stamford, this interactive experience is designed to connect the next generation with the city’s long-range planning process - the Stamford 2035 Comprehensive Plan.

Empowering Young Voices Through Civic Education

During the school day, students will take part in a specially designed digital project delivered via Google Classroom and accessed on their Chromebooks. Activities include:

The initiative highlights key themes from the Stamford 2035 planning effort, including:

  • Housing affordability
  • Environmental resilience
  • Mobility and transportation access
