Stamford's Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center To Open 5 Days A Week

Days of operation have been expanded at the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center, the City of Stamford said in an announcement Wednesday.

STAMFORD, CT — Beginning Aug. 3, days of operation at the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center will expand from three days a week to five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, according to an announcement from the City of Stamford on Facebook.

The center, located at 130 Magee Ave., is currently open on Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays. Regular operating hours will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information on the recycling center, click here.

According to the Stamford Advocate, another staff member was hired which allowed the center to expand days of operation.

Additionally, the announcement said, the Take It Or Leave It Swap Shop is now open Tuesday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shop is located at the recycling center, and residents can drop off or pick up slightly used items.

The Free Book Exchange will also be open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
