Stamford's St. Patrick's Day Parade Is Saturday: Here's What To Know

The annual parade is scheduled to step-off in Stamford at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 4.

STAMFORD, CT — The annual Stamford St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 4.

The parade will step-off at 2 p.m., at the intersection of Main Street and Washington Boulevard. It will head down Main Street onto Bedford Street and finish near Latham Park.

The Stamford Police Department said motorists should expect road closures and traffic delays in the area, and should find alternate routes of travel.

More than 80 community marching units, pipe bands, dancers and school organizations will participate in the parade, which is now in its 28th year.

Sgt. Patrick Loughran, a 30-plus-year veteran of the Stamford Police Department, will be the grand marshal. Loughran is a longtime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and has led the parade in the past as a member of the SPD's motorcycle patrol unit.

Additionally, the Irish American Cultural Society of Stamford announced that the Cingari family will be honored for their generation-spanning impact on the Stamford community, and their contributions to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County through their Grade A Shoprite stores.
