State-Of-The-Art Indoor Padel Court To Open In Stamford

Padel is a rapidly growing racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash.

STAMFORD, CT — Pickleball America is set to open what it says is the nation's first indoor padel court located within a shopping mall this spring at Stamford Town Center.

The facility will bring the fast-growing racket sport, which blends elements of tennis and squash, to the community. The court is enclosed in glass and designed by Sportsfield Specialties, offering what organizers describe as a state-of-the-art experience.

"We're excited to introduce padel to a whole new audience by bringing it directly into the retail environment," said Bruce Townsend, one of the founders of Padel at Pickleball America, in a prepared statement. "We have created a unique opportunity for shoppers to discover this international, social and accessible sport."
