Teen Nearly Crushed to Death In Trash Compactor: Stamford PD
The garbage company workers heard the boy's cries for help.

STAMFORD, CT — A 16-year-old boy who ran awayfrom home after a fight with his mother over cleaning dishes was nearly killed after he fell asleep in a dumpster on garbage day, according to police.
City Carting employees were emptying a dumpster on East Main Street around 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The employees heard screams from the compactor and stopped the machine, police said.
