Townhouse Fire Extinguished In Stamford: FD
Firefighters responded to a fire at a four-story building on March 8.

STAMFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a Stamford townhouse over the weekend, according to the fire department.
Units from the West Side Fire Station responded to the 50 block of Liberty Street at 2:40 p.m. on March 8 and found a fire on an exterior second floor porch of a four-story, wood frame, multiple dwelling townhouse, Stamford fire officials said in a news release.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the flames were prevented from extending into the interior of the unit, fire officials said.

No occupants were injured or displaced from the townhouse, and there were no injuries to firefighters, the SFD said.
The cause and origin of the fire is being investigation by the Stamford Fire Marshal's Office.
