Two Rescued From Roof During Stamford Fire
Two people were rescued from the roof after the blaze near Stamford Hospital.

STAMFORD, CT — Two homes were damaged near Stamford Hospital after a fire Monday evening.
The fire on Alden Street broke out around 5:45 p.m. and was under control around 7 p.m., but a large amount of smoke engulfed the area, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Two people were rescued from a roof by civilians.

People were removed from the front entrance of the hospital, but some still reported a heavy smoke smell in the eastern part of the Hospital throughout the rest of the day.
