Valerie Cooper Wins Women Who Inspire Award
Art Consultant and Cultural Curator wins Award

Congratulations to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., member Valerie Cooper on being selected as a 2019 Women Who Inspire Award recipient. This distinguished award was established by the Greenwich YMCA to acknowledge and honor outstanding women who have excelled in philanthropic, professional and volunteer pursuits.
Valerie is an Art Consultant and Cultural Curator at Picture That Art Consultants LLC and an active member of the Omicron Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and coordinates The Arts committee for the chapter.
Valerie is very active in the community. She serves as Commissioner for the City of Stamford’s Arts and Culture Commission, a Board Member for Inspirica, Inc, and an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College. In addition to serving as chair of The Arts Committee for the Omicron Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Valerie is also a member of The Links Inc., and The Community Investment Committee of Fairfield County’s Community Foundation.

Valerie received her MBA from Columbia University; a Fine Arts Study Appraisal Certificate from New York University; an Executive Entrepreneur Certificate from Tuck School of Business-Dartmouth College; and a B. S. from Morgan State University. Valerie is also an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America with a specialty in African American Fine Art.
Valerie resides in Stamford, Connecticut.
