Volunteers Pack Hygiene Kits To Help Ukrainian Refugees
Volunteers assembled 1,000 hygiene kits at Americares' global headquarters in Stamford last week.
STAMFORD, CT — As the war continues in Ukraine, local residents are still looking for ways to help those displaced by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
On June 8, volunteers assembled 1,000 hygiene kits at Americares' global headquarters in Stamford. The kits contained essential hygiene products, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, towels and more.
More than 30 volunteers participated in the event, including volunteers from Carmody, Torrance Sandak & Hennessey, Mastercard and Odyssey Group.

Over 6 million people have fled Ukraine since the invasion; more than half have crossed into Poland, where the Americares Ukraine Crisis Response Team is based. Since the crisis began, Americares has delivered more than 130 tons of medicine and relief supplies to Ukraine valued at over $20 million.
In addition, Americares has awarded $1 million in emergency grants to local organizations providing support services to refugees, including medical care and crisis counseling.
