My "Around the House" Tip of the Day for Thursday January 25,2024: Quick... while the temps are warmer and it's not uncomfortable outside, I'm grabbing the Windex and cleaning off the windows , storm doors, and if I get a chance the slider on the outside (where the two dogs jump up and make a muddy mess). Many of you may luck out to find you have tilt-in windows. As an inspector I find it amazing this feature is often not even known to people who have them. Many newer windows have a release that lets you tilt in the window for easy cleaning. No climbing ladders or removing screens. Even if your not interested in cleaning today... check out your windows to see if you have that feature. Most slider windows also will lift out, (the one that moves) so you can at least clean that from inside.
