Update: Missing Stamford Woman Found: Police

A Stamford woman who was reported missing has been found, police said Friday afternoon.

STAMFORD, CT — A 44-year-old woman who was reported missing in Stamford has been found safe, according to an update from the Stamford Police Department.

The woman returned home Friday afternoon, police said. Police put out an alert Friday morning after she was last seen near Cummings Park and Soundview Avenue Thursday.

"Thank you to everyone that shared and got the word out," police said on Facebook. "It takes a village."
