Woman Talked Out Of Suicide By Stamford Police Officer
The incident occurred during the early morning hours on May 16.

STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford police officer successfully talked a distraught woman out of jumping off the I-95 overpass at East Main Street early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Stamford officers arrived at the scene just before 5 a.m. to find a 30-year-old woman "on the small ledge of the bridge contemplating jumping," wrote Stamford police in a post on the department's Facebook page.
Connecticut State Police also responded and closed traffic below on I-95 northbound while Stamford Off. Michael Dube talked the woman back over the railing. Her identity was not disclosed.

"The woman was brought to Stamford Hospital for treatment," wrote police. "The Stamford Police Department has noticed a rise in calls dealing with people in crisis. Thankfully due to Officer Dube’s efforts this one worked out well.
