"Jessica was selfless, always putting others needs before her own. She was a kind and loving sister, daughter and single mother leaving behind two beautiful children a week before Mother's Day," Perez's brother Anthony Perez said in the fundraiser's description.
"No one was prepared for this, and we are asking for donations to help us raise and care for these two adorable children," the description continued. "Your donation will go towards medical fees, food, clothing, and ensuring her children's best quality of life for the future. Even though she is no longer with us physically, her spirit remains through my beautiful nephews."
In a day, the fundraiser has raised just over $2,000 out of a $100,000 goal.
