1 Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Stonington, ID Released: State Police
The crash occurred shortly before noon on Jan. 11, according to the Connecticut State Police.

STONINGTON, CT â A 78-year-old woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate-95 in Stonington on Jan. 11, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Police have identified the deceased as Barbara Dyer, of North Franklin.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:53 a.m., Thursday when a 2023 Mazda CX-5, driven by a 22-year-old from East Providence, RI, crashed into the rear of a 2017 Honda Civic LX and then the left rear corner of a 2007 Toyota Tundra, police said in an accident summary.

The Civic and Tundra were both stopped in the left lane of two due to traffic congestion on I-95 North near Exit 91, police noted.
Police said the Civic, which was driven by Dyer, was pushed off to the right side of the road and came to "a final uncontrolled rest" in a ditch.

The Mazda rolled onto its right side on the left shoulder, and the Tundra remained approximately in the same position, according to police.
Dyer was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Mazda sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital, and the driver of the Tundra reported no injuries.
