2 Employees Taken To Hospital In Mystic Restaurant Smoke Incident
Two employees of a Mystic restaurant were taken to the hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation, according to a report.
MYSTIC, CT — Two restaurant employees were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure for smoke inhalation Monday, according to The New London Day. The Mystic Fire Department responded to a call reporting heavy smoke at Chapter One Food and Drink at 32 W. Main St. at 12:43 p.m.
The smoke spread from the ground floor furnace into the second floor and a bit into the restaurant. No one was displaced from the second-floor apartments and the restaurant was not damaged, The New London Day report.
The street was closed between Gravel and Pearl streets for about 15 minutes.
