2 Injured After Van Crashes Into Pole In Mystic: Report
Police said a man and a woman were injured after their van crashed into a utility pole in Mystic.

MYSTIC, CT — Police said a man and a woman were injured after their van crashed into a utility pole in Mystic, the New London Day reported. While the cause of the incident is still under investigation, police said the couple may have been involved in a domestic dispute before the crash occurred.
According to the Day, the couple was driving on Lantern Hill Road late Tuesday afternoon when the incident occurred. Police said a preliminary investigation indicated the woman grabbed the wheel during the alleged dispute, causing the car to go off the road.
Police said the woman appeared to have broken her ankle and had to be extricated from under the van by firefighters, according to the Day. Police said the man also suffered minor injuries, and both were transported to a hospital.
