2 Men Impersonate Firefighters In North Stonington

According to town officials, the men told a resident they were doing home inspections, which the department does not do.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT — Town officials said the North Stonington Fire Company received a call last week from a concerned citizen who reported that two men in a blue car approached their home on Pendelton Hill Road.

The citizen reported the men said they were from the Fire Department and were doing home inspection.

"The North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company does not do home inspections of any kind," town officials said in a release. "Any individual stating they are working on behalf of the fire company should be in a clearly marked vehicle and should be able to provide you a Fire Company photo ID."
