2 Pawcatuck Businesses Cited By TPEP For Tobacco Sales: Report

Police said two local businesses were cited after allegedly selling tobacco products to an underaged youth employed by the TPEP.

PAWCATUCK, CT – Two businesses in Pawcatuck were cited by the state Department of Health and Addiction Services’ Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program (TPEP) for allegedly selling tobacco products to a youth under the age of 18, the New London Day reported.

According to the New London Day, police said Legends Smoke Shop and A to Z Convenience Storewere both cited during unannounced checks after selling tobacco products to an underaged youth employed by the TPEP. Ten other local businesses were found to be in compliance, police said.
