2 Students Charged With Damaging Field Named For 9/11 Victim: PD

STONINGTON, CT - Stonington police said two students have been charged with damaging a field named in memory of a 9/11 victim. The names of the 17-year old suspects have not been released due to their ages.

Police said the suspects used an SUV to tear up the Stonington High School soccer field on Sunday, Oct. 29, according to the New London Day. The field had been named in memory of 9/11 victim Josh Piver.

Police said officers found the evidence of field damage underneath one of the suspect's cars, the New London Day reported. The suspects caused $3,000 in damage to the field, according to police.
