3rd Annual Mystic Pirate Invasion Oct 2, 3 and 4

Ahoy matey! ’Tis the event you’ve been waitin’ fer! The Mystic Pirate Invasion kicks off this Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. thanks to the kind folks at Stonington Human Services. Fer the evenin‘ o October 2nd, they have secured the movin’ picture show HOOK to be presented to you in the Mystic River Park. Bring yer chair, blanket and snacks - sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Saturday, OCT 3rd brings ye restaurant specials. Keep a keen eye open fer roamin’ bands o‘ pirates! Scuttlebutt would have ye believin’ that pirates are to be meetin‘ to plan a raid on our fair port o‘ Mystic! If this be true, ye best set yer course fer Downtown Mystic on the 4th o’ October! Thar will be entertainment in the park startin’ at 11:00 am. Free pirate crafts fer the young buckos - thanks kindly to the folks at Michael’s Crafts. Have the young ones grab a treasure map so they can test their cartography skills and get rewarded at our 28 participating downtown businesses. Keep a watch fer the park! The pirates are rumored to be makin‘ landfall at high noon! They are a roudy bunch, and might even take some hostages captive! Bring yerself to the pirate encampment in front of Bank Square Books after they invade to help ransom these poor souls! Every doubloon will be given to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation. Be ye quick to get there! The militia will hopefully be arrivin’ in short order (1:00 p.m.) to free them, and our town. Ye best be in yer best pirate raiments and in the park fer 2:00 pm.
