A Foraging Walk, Talk & Book Signing

Ava Chin, author of Eating Wildly, will be in Mystic May 24

Mystic — Bank Square Books and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center have teamed up again, this time to take a culinary walk on the wild side.

Ava Chin, author of Eating Wildly: Foraging for Life, Love and the Perfect Meal, will join DPNC Executive Director/Botanist Maggie Jones for a foraging walk starting at 5 p.m., May 24 at The Nature and Heritage Center at Coogan Farm, 162 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic.

The walk ends at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, where Ava will sign copies of her new book while guests enjoy some locally foraged snacks, beer and wine.

Books will be available for sale at the reception for $25/copy. Note: Guests can either walk back to their cars at Coogan (approx. 1/2 mile) or we will provide van transportation.

Tickets for members are $40/ Walk+Book+Reception or $15/ Walk+Reception. Tickets for nonmembers are $45 /Walk+Book+Reception or $20 /Walk+Reception.
