A Journey along the Silk Road of Central Asia

Raymond Uzanas, a writer,
photographer, and adventurer who travels the world in search of culturally rich
and naturally scenic places, will take you on an excursion tothe
“Stans” of Central Asia—from the marble-made capital of Turkmenistan, to
Uzbekistan, including its capital of six million people (Tashkent) and the ancient
Silk Road cities of Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand.

Then, leave the cities for the
dramatic scenery of the Pamir Mountains in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, while
traveling several hundred miles along the Chinese and Afghanistan borders.
Crossing mountain passes at 15,000 ft. elevation is a sinuous road (carved into
the mountains by 1930s Soviet men and machines). It is a region of remote
villages and hardy people, living in harsh climates unlike any other.
