Acme Wire Products Featured as ‘Make it in America’ Manufacturer

Mystic’s Acme Wire Products is an October Make it in America manufacturer.

According to a press release from the Southeastern CT Enterprise Region (seCTer), the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP) will feature Acme Wire Products Company of Mystic as part of the October Make it in America campaign.

“The Make it in America campaign is an effort to honor our country’s manufacturers and highlight the importance of U.S. manufacturing by showcasing the contributions of manufacturers nationwide,” the press release stated.

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy declared October “Manufacturing Month” in Connecticut.

Founded in 1970, Acme Wire is in its second generation of family ownership and management, and is run by the sibling team of President Mary Planeta Fitzgerald, Edward Planeta, Jr., and Michael Planeta.
