'Aggressive Minks' Spotted At Stonington Point: Report

The town has notified a state agency about aggressive minks, one of which chased a person recently.

STONINGTON, CT — Police are warning that aggressive minks have been seen at Stonington Point and that one of the animals chased a person, according to The New London Day. A police official urged people to stay away from the minks if they see them.

Though they appear similar to a pet ferret, they are not friendly animals and can be territorial.

The town's animal control officer has notified the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection about the situation, The New London Day reported.
