American Red Cross Helping 2 Families After Pawcatuck Fire

The Red Cross is providing assistance to two families after a fire in Pawcatuck.

PAWCATUCK, CT – The American Red Cross is helping two families (three adults) after a fire Wednesday on Stillman Avenue. The Red Cross is providing assistance to meet the families' immediate needs, according to a release.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire. (To sign up for Stonington/Mystic breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

In addition, a recovery envelope was provided which contained information helpful to families recovering from a fire.
