• West Haven man sentenced to 7 years in prison for trying to join ISIS (wtnh.com) — A terrorism case with statewide implications has a direct tie to Stonington, where a West Haven man was arrested while trying to board a boat he believed would help him reach ISIS fighters abroad. He has now been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release after years of investigation and detention.
