Amphibian activity in vernal pools is one of the first harbingers of Spring. Follow the season's progression by observing our amphibian neighbors. Learn more about the behaviors and natural history of native salamanders, frogs and toads as we identify them by their different calls and eggs. Pick an observation area, record your findings and watch over the next few months as the sequential emergence of amphibians leads us into Spring. Your observations will be used to further our knowledge of local amphibian populations. NOTE: Short indoor class followed by a hike.
