Barn Destroyed By Fire In Stonington: Report
Fire officials said an unknown number of chickens were killed in the fire.

STONINGTON, CT — Fire officials said a two-story barn filled with hay on the property of White Oak Farm in Stonington burned to the ground Monday, the New London Day reported. Firefighters spent much of the day extinguishing the remains, which officials said they expect to smolder for days due to all the hay.
According to the Day, officials said 75 percent of the barn was in flames when firefighters arrived, and there was not much they could do to save it. An unknown number of chickens were killed as a result of the fire, officials said.
