The 63rd Annual Stonington Village Fair Needs You!

The Stonington Community Center (COMO) needs your help as it prepares for the 63rd Annual Stonington Village Fair – a beloved community tradition. The fair will take place on Saturday, August 1st on Wadawanuck Green from 11:00am until 4:00pm. This event is one of the largest fundraising events of the year for the COMO – a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and community through the provision of numerous affordable enrichment and educational programs. Fair day consists of fun for all ages – including delicious food, artisans, music, a used book sale, games, rides and prizes! This year the fair will even introduce a pie bake-off!

The COMO is currently accepting donations for the event’s Treasures & Trifles, as well as donations of items and services in support of the silent auction. The COMO is seeking donations of books, furniture in good shape, kitchenware, household items, tools, musical instruments, antiques and gently used toys for T&T. Donations in the following categories of health and beauty, fitness, local services, for the home, children’s, personal, sporting goods, dinners, getaways, baskets are needed and appreciated for the Silent Auction portion of the event.

There are still artisan spots available, but they are going quickly! Fill out a vendor application by July 1st for your chance at being in the 63rd Artisan Row, you may find the application at www.thecomo.org. We are also looking for individuals interested in entering their pie to the pie bake off! Visit the website for further detail on this exciting new facet of the fair.

The COMO is also seeking volunteers for the day of the event, as well as set up the day before. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with games and prizes to helping during set up and break down.
