Beach Pass Fee Increases In Stonington Met With Criticism

A new increase in beach pass fees have been met with criticism​ by some Stonington residents.

STONINGTON, CT- A new increase in beach pass fees have been met with criticism by some Stonington residents, the New London Day reported. The increase was decided upon by the Stonington Community Center.

Entry fees at duBois Beach have increased from $5 to $10 per person for a day pass, according to the New London Day. Children under 12 are now granted free entry. (To sign up for Stonington/Mystic breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Most complaints have come from families, who must now purchase a COMO membership in order to purchase a $100 season pass, the New London Day reported. Memberships cost $100 for families and $75 for individuals.
