Blue Monday is back

Mondays in July

Blue. Monday concerts are a fundraiser for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center (food pantry) and the Stonington Education Fund (music education in Stonington’s schools). The family-friendly concerts take place on Mondays in the summer months a Mystic River Park. (12 Cottrell Street, Mystic, CT).. This will be the 20th year for the series. In 2025 the free concerts raised over $10,000 from concert sponsorships and individual donations. The funds were split between the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center (food bank) and the Stonington Education Fund to support music programs in Stonington’s public schools.

Monday evenings in the Mystic River Park, once again the place to picnic and enjoy great live music (family friendly, no alcohol).

JULY 6th - Ward Hayden & The Outliers

Band members: Ward Hayden, Tyler Marshall. Sam Crawford, Greg Hall, Patrick Brown

The story of “Little by Little,” the new album by Ward Hayden & The Outliers, began like so many Bruce Springsteen songs do: in a car with the radio on, hurtling down a highway, headed for distant destinations. Except that instead of one of Hayden’s longtime favorites like Hank Williams taking him on a journey through the airwaves, it was a voice whose sour rhetoric rubbed him the wrong way and ultimately inspired action.

Yeah, we've been known to rock a party or two but if anything speaks to the quality of a band it would have to be longevity. Sugar has been performing as a consistent staple in the New England music scene for over two decades now and shows no signs of giving the dance floor a breather any time soon.
