BLACK HART LONG ARMS, MUSKET-MAKER & COLLECTOR, JOINS NSHS S 250 ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, SATURDAY, JUNE 27TH

North Stonington Historical Society is pleased to announce its organization will be hosting the 250th celebration for the Town of North Stonington with a Parade, Muster & Colonial Fair on June 27, 2026, 11 AM to 4 PM.

Black Hart Long Arms are North Stonington musket-makers and collectors and will be showing samples of their wares next to NS Historical Society’s Dye House at #1 Wyassup Road on June 27th.

As an expert on colonial armaments, Black Hart's Edwin Parry has been making custom reproductions for thirty years. Noted for his master craftsmanship and historical accuracy, he receives commissions nationwide and has won the Discovery Channel’s “Master of Arms” competition.As a founding member of the 1775 Ye Olde Lebanon Towne Militia, he participates in encampments and battle re-enactments throughout New England as an educator on the Revolutionary War.For Eastford Conservation and Historical Preservation Commission, he has dedicated himself to the restoration, preservation and cataloguing of Eastford's twelve historic cemeteries.Ed’s exemplary achievements have greatly contributed to the understanding of Connecticut history.
