Turn invasive plants into dinner with The 3 Foragers. You will learn to identify, harvest, and cook problematic species so you can fight invasives with your fork! Walk Coogan Farm with expert foragers to spot invasives then return to the kitchen for a tasting meal showcasing how you can use these unexpected ingredients.
In case of heavy rain, there will be an indoor slideshow presentation followed by the tasting.

Learn to master color using both the restricted palette of Velazquez and the luminous palette of Sorolla. Using soft pastels, this class will explore historic palettes and color theory, while challenging the student to see color accurately and apply it strategically.&nbsp;
This week-long workshop begins with check-in at 4:30 PM on Sunday night. Dinner is served at 5:30 PM for students and instructors. Dinner is followed by a workshop introduction and conference which ends at 9:00 PM.&nbsp;Students are welcome to attend daily Mass at 9 AM.&nbsp;Hands-on instruction begins Monday morning after Mass.&nbsp; The entire workshop ends Friday at 1 PM.

These rates include daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.&nbsp;
Commuter &amp; Workshop - $1010
This includes daily lunch and dinner.&nbsp;
Workshop Materials:
A $100 materials fee is included in the cost of this workshop.
All materials used in this workshop will be pre-ordered and made available to students in the classroom by the instructor.
All other equipment and art supplies are the property of the Enders Island Sacred Art Institute.

Join Professor Sid Gottlieb for an abbreviated screening and discussion of Rear Window, a masterwork of suspense by Alfred Hitchcock. Professor Gottlieb will share poignant clips of the movie along with his interpretation. Be sure to borrow the DVD currently available at the Front Desk for check out. This program will be approximately 1.5 hours long.
Dr. Gottlieb, who has taught at Sacred Heart University since 1976, is a leading Hitchcock scholar and longtime editor of Hitchcock Annual. His books include Hitchcock on Hitchcock and Framing Hitchcock.
Enjoy a classic film on the library screen along with lively, accessible insights from an expert.

Rustic-chic private farm venue in scenic Stonington, CT 

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse.
