On Saturday, Sept 19, WDA is hosting a nationwide watch party featuring an interview with Heather Cox Richardson, who will be receiving an award from the organization (https://mailchi.mp/writersfordemocraticaction/march-28-find-your-local-no-kings-event-14210171?e=80dbba1ace). The watch parties are being held at bookstores, community centers, homes etc. all across the country. Locally, I am organizing the CT chapter's watch party at Bank Square Books in Mystic (https://banksquarebooks.com/event/2026-09-19/wda-heather-cox-richardson-watch-party)
I don't know if this qualifies as news or an event item, but wanted to pass it along in any case.
