Join end-of-life doulas Noreen Kepple, Greta McGugan, and Lavina Kepple for a casual conversation exploring a variety of topics surrounding end-of-life care.
This month's session will feature a screening and discussion of Joan Halifax's TED Talk, Compassion and the True Meaning of Empathy. A Zen Buddhist teacher, author, and longtime advocate for compassionate end-of-life care, Halifax draws on decades of experience supporting those who are dying and the people who care for them. In this thought-provoking talk, she explores the difference between empathy and compassion, offering practical insights into how we can care for others with greater resilience, presence, and wisdom.
This is the final Conversations on Death & Dying session of the season. We hope you'll join us before the series returns in the spring. To be added to the email list for information on upcoming Conversations contact millie@stoningtonfreelibrary.org.
