CAS Presents High School Performing and Fine Arts Awards

The 24th annual Connecticut High School Arts Banquet was held recently at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A total of 286 students representing 143 state high schools were recently honored for their achievements in the areas of the performing and fine arts at the 24th annual Connecticut High School Arts Banquet, presented by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS), at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.

A capacity crowd listened to an engaging and humor-filled keynote presentation by Dr. Gina Barreca, noted columnist and author. Caroline Gwara, a student at the Metropolitan Learning Center in Bloomfield, was also honored with the 2019 Heart of the Arts Award.
