Coogan Boulevard Becoming The Place To Go For Food
With the opening of FroyoWorld in the Mystic Green Shopping Center there are now five places to get food.
If youâre craving tacos, or a burger and fries, or a latte the Mystic Green Shopping Center off of Coogan Boulevard has it all and more.
In the past few years the Mystic outlet center has transformed from mainly retail shops to the place to go for food.

âI like the food options that are more affordable and not after the mighty tourist dollar,â Sarah Myers wrote on the Stonington-Mystic Patch Facebook page about the changes.
If the almost always-busy parking lot is any indication a lot of people seem to agree with Myers. One of the draws of the food may be that itâs not the typical fast food, but rather a wealth of options. In that one plaza you can get Mexican, classic American food, Chinese food, Japanese food, sushi and finish it all off with frozen yogurt or coffee.

âIt seems to be becoming a little food emporium, the variety is really exciting,â First Selectman said.
Restaurants have become a staple of downtown Mystic and Stonington Borough and Haberek said he believes they help draw people into the shops. He hopes the same will one day be true for downtown Pawcatuck.
In the Mystic Green Shopping Center, is one of the oldest tenants. The 25-plus-year-old salon has seen a lot of shops come and go, but owner Kathy Zezulka said the new food places seem to be good for business.
âSome people didnât know we were here and discovered us,â Zezulka said, adding itâs nice for the hair salonâs customers to be able to get a snack.
