Electric Boat Plans To Construct Huge North Stonington Facility

The Groton-based company purchased a $5.5 million parcel in North Stonington where it will construct a warehouse.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT — Groton-based General Dynamics Electric Boat will build a 480,000-square-foot warehouse after the company purchased a $5.5-million property in North Stonington, according to The Hartford Business Journal.

The submarine builder purchased the property at 45 Frontage Road. The property currently has a 40-year-old, 5,000-square-foot garage.

Plans approved by the North Stonington Planning and Zoning Commission call for 13 loading docks, three vehicle ramps into the building, and 75 parking spaces.
