Engage With Visiting Experts at Mystic Seaport this Summer
Local residents are invited to join graduate students and museum members as they study maritime history at Mystic Seaport.
Expert scholars from around the country will be sharing their knowledge this summer at the Munson Institute at Mystic Seaport. Local residents are invited to join graduate students and museum members as they examine the collections at Mystic Seaport, attend illustrated lectures, and travel on field seminars while learning about America's rich maritime heritage. The Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies is the oldest such program in the country, enjoying its 62nd year this summer. Many of the nation's experts in the maritime past are graduates of Munson Institute with a number of them returning to give back through their teaching. Sessions meet three mornings each week, June 26 - August 3rd.
