Environmental Art - Weekend Trail Walks at I-Park, East Haddam

Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 - 2pm to 5pm

In case you missed the exhibition in September, I-Park is offering another bite at the apple. Join us this weekend, rain or shine, as we re-open our grounds, and waters, to the gene...ral public. Enjoy a self-directed, autumn-colors-peak trail walk, including a boat ride, to view the works created for I-Park’s 2013 Environmental Art Biennale (the fourth in a series). It will be a month since the opening – the hues and sounds will have changed, as will the ephemeral installations themselves. But the spirit of the artists lives on in the work.

Art in nature at its best!

Click this link (required) https://www.eventbrite.com/event/8682847631 to register for your free tickets. Wear comfortable walking shoes and plan to arrive between 2pm and 3:30pm. A leisurely walk should take about an hour. No pets please.

Bonus: As a special treat for fans of the Creatures Tree, artist Tatiana Nikolaenko from St. Petersburg is in residence this month. The Environmental Art Trail has been modified to pass by Tatiana’s classic environmental art installation as it undergoes an extensive overhaul, including the migration of 200 new creatures to an entirely new tree! Should you miss Tatiana this weekend, she’ll be showing her completed installation at Open Studios on October 27.
