Sails Up 4 Cancer Premier Regatta

 Sails up 4 Cancer is a newly formed charity dedicated to education, prevention, and research for all types of cancer, through the art and enjoyment of sailing.

They will be holding their first traditional race regatta, along with a Picnic Fleet for cancer patients, survivors, and family members, who are encouraged to sign up as a passengers aboard one of the many volunteer vessels for a relaxing day on Long Island sound observing the race and having a picnic.

As well as on the water activities, Sails Up 4 Cancer will be hosting a Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) exposition at the Mystic River Yacht Club. This event will engage the public in information regarding pre cancerous screenings, nutrition, meditation, massage therapy, yoga, exercise and acupuncture for patients and family during cancer treatments.

Following a day filled with both on the water activities and the CAM exposition, Sails Up 4 Cancer will host the Post Regatta Shore Party, with food, drinks, auctions, raffles, regatta awards, and entertainment provided by Connecticut’s own Country music star, Zach Lockwood.

Admission for the exposition is $10. in advance & $20 at the door, and is also good for admission to the Post Regatta Shore Party.
Admission for the Picnic Fleet is $10 per person. Please sign up early as space is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
