Come out for a fundraiser for Stonington Youth Football & Cheer. Recently the league decided to purchase new, state of the art technology football helmets for our young players. This decision was based on wanting to make the kids as safe as possible, as well as the fact that over the past year, concussions were a huge topic in the news. From ESPN to National Geographic, stories to raise the awareness of this horrifying injury were sweeping the sports world in full stride.
Currently the league is going on a fundraising tour and we have our first event Friday May 20 which will be a Fish & chip dinner at the Portuguese Club in Stonington Village. The Portuguese club has graciously extended their support to help us out. By the wayâŠthe club makes the best Fish & chips east of the Azores!
