Farmhouse Brewery Planned For North Stonington
A popular New England brewery has purchased farmland in North Stonington and plans to open a new farmhouse brewery.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT â Trillium Brewing Company announced Monday the purchase of a farm in North Stonington they hope to transform into Trillium Farm & Brewery, a New England farmhouse brewery.
According to their website, the farm was purchased this past summer, however the concept of Trillium Farm & Brewery has been in the works for a while.
Though they did not specify the exact location of the farm, Trillium owners JC and Esther Tetreault said in the post they intend to brew estate-grown beers, as well as establish an agriculture program that could supply their restaurant and breweries. They also hope to "create a destination" for loyal and new customers.

The brewery has not announced a timeline for the project, however the post notes building the brewery will take just as long as it took to find the perfect farmland.
Trillium opened in March 2013 and is "grounded in the concept of a New England farmhouse brewery," with the brewery using local ingredients as much as possible.

The brewery currently has locations in both Canton, Mass., and Boston's Fort Point neighborhood, and offers a variety of beers, including Congress Street IPA and Trillium New England Wild Ale.
