Free outdoor summer concerts at The IRONS of Hilton Mystic

The IRONS Restaurant & Bar heralds summer with its first annual free concert series on the patio.

Located at Hilton Mystic and open to all ages, the concerts run from 7pm-9pm featuring a popular musical line-up with local craft beers and barbecue available for sale.

Commemorative tee-shirts will be available at each concert with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Animal Rescue Clinic at Mystic Aquarium.

“This summer our clinic will be filled to capacity with seals that require individual care,” said Janelle Schuh, Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Clinic Stranding Coordinator. “It is thanks to our first responders and the tireless efforts of our veterinarians and clinic volunteers that allow us to provide specialized and compassionate care for the rehabilitation of these stranded and rescued animals. Our ultimate goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat is made possible by support from wonderful community partners like Hilton Mystic and their concert-goers who support our mission.”

About Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program

Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program supports animals in need and educates the public about the marine environment and its inhabitants. The public is encouraged to call the Aquarium’s 24-hour hotline at 860.572.5955 ext. 107 if they encounter a marine mammal or sea turtle in Conn., R.I. or Fishers Island, N.Y. Mystic Aquarium is a founding member of the Northeast Region Stranding Network. This network is comprised of organizations along the eastern sea coast which have facilities and trained staff to care for sick and injured animals. Marine Mammals are protected species, so only groups and facilities authorized by the National Marine Fisheries Service are permitted to handle these animals.
