Got Snow? The Stonington COMO Snowman Competition Beckons!

The Stonington Community Center, Inc. (COMO) has launched their very firstsnowman building competition! With all this snow, why not have a little fun with it? The COMO is encouraging all local families to build their very own snowman creation to be entered to win some great prizes! Competition participants are encouraged to come to the COMO on 28 Cutler Street and build their best snowman. Not sure where to build on the COMO’s sprawling Stonington Borough campus? Try the COMO soccer fields, Paddle Tennis grounds, Children’s Garden, tennis courts, or COMO main building grounds. Can’t make it to the Borough? That is ok, you can build your snowman at home too- it just has to note the COMO in the design to be considered in the judging process. The snowmen will be judged in three different categories: COMO Member Snowmen On-Campus, COMO Member Snowmen Off-Campus, and Nonmember Snowmen. To be considered in the running to win Stonington’s Best Snowman, please e-mail a photo of your snowman, the location it was built, name(s) of your snowman builder(s), and your snowman’s name to Sara Garvey, s.garvey@thecomo.org by ​Sunday, ​March 15th at 6pm. On Monday, ​March 16th, judging will be open to the community via online survey where they can vote for the winners in each category! Winners will be announced on Friday, March 20th after voting ends at noon.
