Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Names New Interim President

MYSTIC, CT- The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that Bill Smith of Groton has been appointed as the chamber’s interim president, the Westerly Sun reported.

Smith is expected to hit the ground running, having already joined the organization, according to the Westerly Sun. The chamber’s recent managerial changes have meanwhile enabled the board to explore different management structures.

The announcement comes two months after the departure of Tricia Walsh, who had served as president since 2013, according to the Westerly Sun. President of the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce Angela Thoman had been helping out since then.
